Synoload: Synology Download Redirector for Mobile Phones

Hi,

I've developped a mobile application able to connect to your Synology NAS and manage your downloads. It is called "SynoLoad" and is available on several platforms:

- For iPhone, on the AppStore:

- For Android 1.6 and after, on the Android Market

- For Symbian Series 60 5th edition (touchscreen), on the OVI Store:

SynoLoad allows you to connect to your Download Station and manage your downloads. You will be able to add or remove files, but also check the speed or pause downloads.

The included web browser will help you choose the file you wish to download with a single touch, and the smart search engine will allow you to look for any kind of file. New search engines can be added dynamically, so you will never miss your good old finder. Mininova is included by default!

Morever, the built-in RSS reader helps you keep track of your software updates. You will be able to add new RSS feeds to SynoLoad and be notified of new files to download.

Afraid to open your Download Station access to the Internet? SynoLoad handles both HTTP and HTTPS and is capable of connecting to it through a SSH Server (iPhone and WinMob only), so it is completely secure!

Hi,

I think Nokia N95 is Symbian S60, but it doesn't have touchscreen (should be 3rd edition FP1 or FP2).

I will probably make it work for non touchscreen Symbian's when I see how it goes with the touchscreen version on OVI. If I sell many, then I'll work more on Symbian... and if I don't sell many, then I'll don't extend to other Symbian phones.

Hi,

Can you tell me what doesn't work ?
1/ You can't add them, there is an error message when you try to add one
2/ You add them and you can't search, you have a "search failed" message
3/ The searcher never finds any result
4/ There are some results, but no download is added
5/ There are results, you can add files to download, but it never downloads ("Waiting...")

And can you tell me exactly what searcher you added, and what you search (in PM or email if you wish).

Maybe you can write that in Italian, and I'll translate it to French (my native language)

If you enter exactly "http://dev.patey.net/synoload/tpb" (without the "") inside the "Add from URL" text field at the bottom, it should work fine.

Hi,

Because when I offered to make this application, QNAP proposed to send me NAS for free if I make the application free for all, and Synology say "good job".

But SynoLoad will probably have more features more often, because it's paying, and I answer the mail within 24 hours for support.
