@Ghiaccio
se hai acceso telnet/ssh, prova i seguenti comandi:
/usr/syno/sbin/synoservicecfg --restart httpd-sys
/usr/syno/sbin/synoservicecfg --restart httpd-user

"Hello. I'm a glady DS211j owner since 2010, I've regularly and successfully updated the DSM firmware on my NAS at every notification, 'till 2014-10-23. Since last Thursday when I installed the last available firmware “DSM 5.0-4528” I had a serious problem: I can't access to the web control panel (e.g. by my LAN: http://192.168.1.100:5000/webman/index.cgi” anymore. The login page appairs but when I push the login button the page freezes. I tried with different client PC (windows 7), with different browsers (Chrome, IE 11, ..) but no way, it waits to load the control panel interface (see attachment). The only way I can connect is by an android smartphone browser (via Synology DSM mobile control panel). All other functions of DS211j (FTP, SAMBA, also remotely via Dyn DNS, DLNA, ..) are OK. Some users on Synology forums report about similar issues but I didn't read a possible solution. Is this a know problem and is it there a possible solution? At disposal for every clarification or additional information, kind regards."

"Dear customer,
Thank you for contacting Synology support.
Some users have reported similar issues and seems like it's related to Samsung HD204UI. May we know if you install the drive in your Synology product or you have installed before? If so, we are currently working on workarounds/solutions and I will inform you once it's available. If not, please let us know the hard drive model in your system.
If the ssh/telnet feature was enabled prior to system update, please provide us external IP address and admin's password for further investigations.
If you have other concerns or suggestions, please feel free to contact us again.
Best Regards"

"Good morning K...
Thank you for your reply.
I confirm you that in my DS211J 2x of Samsung HD204UI EcoGreen F4 2TB 3,5” HDD are installed, they are running since the first NAS commissioning on December 2010. Unfortunately I've never used ssh/telnet features to this NAS. If they are enabled as default, then probably I could get you connected to my DS211J. How can I test if the default telnet communication and ports are enabled and opened? Of course without the graphic user interface I cannot set it up.
Even if I believe in your good faith, I don't find so secure and formally correct to tell via email my external IP address and admin's password. I weekly recorded several unwanted external attempt to access on my private NAS! I would be very grateful to you if you could list me a sequence of commands and than I report to you the results. Anyway, if you really need a direct connection to the NAS for further investigations, I can allow you a previously agreed slot time (day – CET time) and for that time I could set a temporary DDNS (my provider uses dynamic Ips) as well an admin password.
About other issues, yes, I have one second malfunction. This issue happened since I installed the first DSM 5.0.x upgrade (many months ago... I don’t remember when exactly). When I'm watching a video (generally *.mkv movies) with a DLNA client (in particular my SMART TV Samsung UE55E6900) often the movie playing is interrupted and I have to manually resume it. This problem had never occurred with the previous DSM 4.x--- firmwares.
Hoping for possible workarounds/solutions I remain at disposal for test or possible operative instructions.
Kind Regards"

A presto

Hi Stefano,

Thank you for your feedbacks.
To bring the webUI back online, please refer to the following solutions.

[Solution 1]
Please follow the instruction below to reinstall DSM without data loss.
http://www.synology.com/support/tutorials/493
Please note that system configurations such as user accounts, folder permissions, and other configurations in Control Panel will be erased.

[Solution 2]
If you have enabled ssh/telnet service, please provide us external IP address and admin's password. We could apply the workaround manually through command line.

[Solution3]
If you have security concerns, please follow the instruction below:
1. Power off DiskStation (DS) and take out all disks
2. Power on DS without disks
3. Run Assistant and perform the installation with the latest DSM patch and Assistant. You could get them in Download Center of Synology web site
4. Under this way, the installation will be failed but the telnet will be open
5. Please open the port 23 on your router for DS NAT IP (ex. 192.168.xx.xx or 10.0.xx.xx)and we could login via telnet
6. Please insert the disks back to DS without rebooting and provide us the following information

Remote Access Instructions:
1. Standard Ports we need you to open: 23
(Please see this link on how to forward your ports, and then select the TELNET application:
http://www.portforward.com/english/rout ... rindex.htm)
2. WAN IP Address of your Synology NAS:
[Please go to http://www.canyouseeme.org/ to fill in the above information and check if the port is open or not]

If you have other concerns or suggestions, please feel free to contact us again.
Best Regards,

Ciao da Stefano... desso sapete el me nome

chmod 755 /usr/syno/sbin/synoservicecfg

@ All

@dMajo

DS211> /usr/syno/sbin/synoservicecfg --restart httpd-sys
service [httpd-sys] restart failed, synoerr=[0x0700]
DS211> /usr/syno/sbin/synoservicecfg --restart httpd-user
service [httpd-user] restart failed, synoerr=[0xD400]

...il che non mi pare buono.
Hai altre indicazioni?

(Fixed an issue that could cause DSM to become inaccessible after a system upgrade with a certain type of hard drive.)
